Please read the following carefully for important changes in the pre-registration procedure.

Requirements
 

bulletMust have lived in the state of Alabama for the past 30 days
bulletMust not be enrolled in school (some exceptions)
bulletMust be 18 years of age or older OR if 16 or 17 years of age and officially withdrawn from public or private school, must have two letters:
 
1.  Documentation of withdrawal from city or county Superintendent or Headmaster of school last attended.
2. Notarized letter of permission from parent or guardian.

When: Monday

What time: 8:00 a.m.
(Late arrivers will not be admitted)

When: Thursday

What time: 9:00 a.m.
(Late arrivers will not be admitted)

 

What to bring to Pre-Registration

1. Picture ID (Alabama Driver's License/State issued ID)
2. Social Security Card
3. Payment (Due in full at time of registration, CASH OR MONEY ORDER ONLY)
$50.00 - Full Test
$10.00 - Retest for any part of the test
  Length of Test
  Test day includes 7 hours and 10 minutes of testing. Breaks and a one-hour lunch (11:45 - 12:45) are scheduled within the day. Testing ends for the day by 5:00 p.m.
  When to Report for Testing
Report to Lobby of the Administration Building on the Childersburg Campus or the Administration Building on the Alexander City Campus. Testing begins promptly at 7:30 a.m. and there will be NO exceptions for tardiness. Picture ID must be presented the day of testing.
  Re-Testing
Re-test candidates have a waiting period of 6 weeks from the last date tested and need to pre-register prior to each time they test. They may take only the sections they need or the entire test over. Candidates are allowed to test up to three times a year.
  Scoring
All tests must be mailed off for scoring. Re-tests cannot be scored the day of testing. In order to pass, the examinee must make at least 410 on each individual section of the test and must have at least a 450 overall average. Please allow at least three weeks for the test results.
