The college will be offering many courses through online instruction.

Online courses require maturity and a strong sense of responsibility.  Course requirements mirror requirements in traditional classrooms.  Successful completion will require five or more hours of work per week per class.  For more information, contact Dr. Richard Wilmarth, coordinator of distance learning, at 256-215-4283 or rwilmarth@cacc.edu.

Students enrolled in an Internet course must have Internet access and an active email address.  On the left, is a list of courses, instructors, and email addressesUpon enrolling in an Internet course, one must obtain a User ID and Password to access the Internet course from the instructor. 

INTERNET ATTENDANCE POLICY

Attendance in an On-line Course
The student must make initial contact via e-mail no later than the following times and dates listed below:

 Fall Semester 2008
   Friday, August 29, 2008        7:30 a.m.

 Spring Semester 2009
   Tuesday, January 20, 2009    7:30 a.m.

 Summer Term 2009
   Tuesday, June 2, 2009          7:30 a.m.

If the initial contact is not made, instructors will submit a green card to withdraw the student from the class.  There will be no exceptions.

Important Dates:

Fall 2008 Semester

Internet Midterms and Finals dates are:

Midterm  = October 8 & 9 -  Wednesday & Thursday

Final  = December 10 & 11 – Wednesday & Thursday

Exams will be given at the following times 1:00 p.m – 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

You can take the exam on either the Alexander Campus in  room 147 of the Betty Carol Graham Center (BCGC), the Childersburg Campus in room J106, or the conference room at the Talladega Center.
