Canned Food Drive a Success!
During the month of November 2003, the Cultural Unity Organization (CUO) and the Student Government Association (SGA) collected boxes of food during the Annual Canned Food Drive. All proceeds were donated to the Housing Authority, which distributed the food to needy families in the Childersburg Community.

CUO HOLIDAY CELEBRATION

The Cultural Unity Organization – Childersburg Campus, sponsored its Second Annual Holiday Celebration Program on December 5, 2002. The purpose of the program was to introduce students and faculty to different customs celebrated during the holiday season.  Holiday Exhibits were displayed on Mexico, Hanukkah, Kwanza and Christmas.  Moreover, the Sylacauga High School Choral Group performed a melody of Christmas Carols during the event and refreshments were served.

CACC Coat and Food Drives

CUO-Childersburg Campus, in collaboration with SGA and PTK, sponsored a food drive to feed the needy during the holiday season.  The food drive was conducted from November 12-22, 2002. Several boxes of donated items were collected and delivered to the Childersburg Police Department for local distribution.

Also during the holiday season, the Student Government Association (SGA) sponsored a Coat Drive to provide coats to needy families

The Cultural Unity Organization - CUO (Childersburg Campus) distributed free lapel ribbons to students and faculty to show support for the troops in Iraq. The ribbons were given to the first seventy-five individuals to arrive in the Cafetorium from 12:15 -12:30 p.m. on March 25.
