Tips for Having a Successful Internet Course Experience
Director
of Distance Education: Dr.
Richard Wilmarth
·
Plan to go on line a
minimum of 2-3 times a week. Actually you would be better served if
you checked in on a daily basis.
·
Don’t let your
assignments build up; pace yourself.
·
Keep in touch with your
instructor (phone, e-mail, and/ or personal visits).
·
Communicate with other
students who are taking the course via e-mail, chats, or threaded
discussions.
·
Print out assignments
and save copies for your own records- your backup if your computer
crashes or your instructor crashes.
·
Work on your assignments
off line and then submit when you can go on line.
·
Computers, the WWW,
servers, printers and other technology tools are not 100%
dependable; be patient. If you have problems, give your instructor
a call. |
