Central Alabama Community College Honors Reginald Clifton and Sidney Thornton as All-Alabama Academic Team Members

ALEXANDER CITY, AL – April 23, 2024 – Central Alabama Community College (CACC) proudly announces that Reginald Clifton and Sidney Thornton have been distinguished as the institution’s All-Alabama Academic Team honorees for 2024. This laudable accolade celebrates the academic prowess and exemplary leadership characteristics of students representing community colleges throughout Alabama.

President Jeff Lynn commended the honorees, “Reginald and Sidney have shown exceptional dedication to their academic endeavors while upholding the values central to CACC’s mission. We are honored to have such driven and community-focused students represent our college on the All-Alabama Academic Team.”

Initiated in 1995, the All-Alabama Academic Team program parallels the All-USA Academic Team Program. Sponsored by USA Today, the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and the American Association of Community Colleges, the award annually recognizes two outstanding students from each community college in Alabama, highlighting the competitive nature of this distinction.

Reginald Clifton and Sidney Thornton have demonstrated outstanding academic records and a deep commitment to leadership and community engagement. Their involvement in campus activities and service initiatives exemplify the positive impact and spirit of the CACC student body.
