Central Alabama Community College Unveils New Nursing and Science Wing at Prattville Campus

PRATTVILLE, AL – January 31, 2024 – Central Alabama Community College (CACC) proudly announces the opening of its new nursing and science wing at its Prattville campus, marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony held on Monday, January 29. This expansion is set to enhance the college’s educational offerings, particularly in the vital healthcare fields.

President Jeff Lynn, speaking at the event, emphasized the importance of this development. “The new nursing and science wing represents a leap forward for CACC and our community. It’s a commitment to our students and the future of healthcare in our region. We’re equipping the next generation of healthcare professionals with the knowledge and hands-on experience they need to excel in a rapidly evolving industry.”

The addition includes state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, providing students with practical experience in a cutting-edge environment. This enhancement directly responds to the growing demand for healthcare professionals in the region, aligning perfectly with community and industry needs.

“The demand for skilled healthcare workers has never been higher,” said the Director of Health Programs at CACC. “With this new wing, we’re not only meeting that demand but also providing our students with a top-tier educational experience that will prepare them for successful careers in healthcare.”

The addition of the new wing allows for an increase in enrollment, specifically in nursing and science programs, thereby accommodating more students seeking healthcare education. This expansion reflects CACC’s dedication to contributing to the local community and workforce development.

President Lynn concluded, “Today marks a new chapter for CACC. We’re not just expanding our campus but expanding opportunities for our students and strengthening our community.
