QEP Literature Review Committee

Acting Librarian, called a meeting of the QEP Literature Review
Committee on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at 8:07 am. The meeting was
held in the Technical Processing Area on the first floor of the
campus library. Those present were Carolyn Ingram, Sherry Ingram
and Susan Tilley.
The business of the day was as follows:
* QEP (Quality Enhancement Plan) Literary Review
* Update on CACC’s 5 Year Plan for Developmental Education
* Library’s Role in Helping Meet Requirement
QEP Literary Review
Mrs. Oliver explained SACS requirements for developmental
education on our campus and what the library’s role of support
in helping to meet specific requirements.
* Update on CACC’s 5 Year Plan for Developmental Education
Mrs. Oliver explained students are tested before they enter CACC
and more and more students were testing into the remedial
courses. The following is a brief summation of CACC’s QEP Plan.
* Laura Brown will be teaching remedial courses English, Math,
and Reading) starting Fall Semester 2004
* Computer Lab for remediation of the students
* The need to determine Learning Styles for students in these
remedial courses.
* The need to track past students in these remedial courses to
monitor progress.
* Library’s Role in Helping Meet Requirements
* Review literature in Postsecondary Developmental Education
