Athletics Update

In light of the progressive evolvement of the COVID-19 situation, the NJCAA has decided to end all competition for the remainder of the academic year. We believe following the recommendations of the CDC is in the best interest of our member colleges and our student-athletes. This includes all practices, regular season, postseason, and national championship play. Regarding eligibility for spring sports, no spring sport student-athlete who was enrolled at a member college in 2020 will be charged a year of participation. Along with the cancellation of competition, all on and off-campus recruiting for all sports will be halted until April 15 with further evaluation to be assessed at that point in time.

Equity in Athletics Disclosure Reporting

The school prepares a report to comply with the Equity in Athletics
Disclosure Act (EADA) of 1994, section 485g of the Higher Education Act of
1965, 20 U.S.C. 1092. All coeducational institutions of higher education
that participate in any federal student financial aid program and have
intercollegiate athletic programs must provide information concerning their
intercollegiate athletics programs under the EADA.

The report includes statistics on athletics participation, coaching staff
and salaries, athletically related student aid and recruiting expenses.

Anyone may obtain a copy of the report by searching the U.S. Department of Education’s Equity in Athletics Data Analysis webpage at https://ope.ed.gov/athletics/. A copy of CACC’s most recent report can be reviewed here [EADA Data 2019](/athletics/EADA Data 2019.pdf). To request a printed copy, please contact the Student Services Office.
