Central Alabama Community College Hosts Legislative Luncheon with Distinguished Guests

ALEXANDER CITY, AL – December 5, 2023 – Central Alabama Community College (CACC) recently hosted a legislative luncheon, bringing together key political figures and community leaders to discuss the college’s progress and future initiatives. The event, sponsored by Tallapoosa County District 2 Commissioner Steve Robinson, was a platform for productive dialogue and collaboration.

Distinguished guests included representatives from the offices of Senators Katie Britt and Tommy Tuberville, Secretary of State Wes Allen, and city and county representatives from various segments of CACC’s service area. This gathering underscored the college’s commitment to fostering strong relationships with legislative bodies and local communities.

CACC President Jeff Lynn expressed his gratitude for the support and participation of the attendees. “Today’s luncheon was not just a meeting but a testament to the collaborative spirit that drives our institution forward. We are grateful for the opportunity to share our achievements and plans with our esteemed guests. Their insights and support are invaluable as we continue to advance our mission of providing top-tier education and opportunities to our students,” said President Lynn.

Director of Governmental Affairs Scott Hardy highlighted the importance of such events in strengthening community ties. “Engaging with our legislative representatives and local leaders is crucial for the growth and development of CACC. This luncheon served as an excellent opportunity to discuss our goals, challenges, and the impact of our programs on the community. We look forward to continuing these meaningful conversations and partnerships,” Hardy stated.

The luncheon served as a platform for CACC to showcase its recent accomplishments and future plans, emphasizing its role as a pivotal educational institution in the region. Discussions focused on the college’s initiatives in workforce development, academic excellence, and community engagement.

The luncheon also provided an opportunity to discuss the significant renovations underway on three of our four campuses, reflecting our ongoing commitment to providing state-of-the-art facilities and resources for our students and faculty.
