Upward Bound is a college preparatory program for students attending targeted high schools (B.B. Comer, Childersburg, Coosa-Central, Fayetteville, Sylacauga, Vincent, and Winterboro). Upward Bound is a federally funded TRIO program.
About Upward Bound
The Upward Bound Program consists of two components
- An Academic Year
- Operates from September to May
- Participants meet two Saturdays each month.
- A Summer Semester
- Six-week schedule
- Intensive instruction in content and enrichment areas
The Goal
- To increase the likelihood that participating high school students complete high school, attend college, and earn a degree
