In accordance with Governor Kay Ivey’s directive and guidance by the Alabama Community College System, Central Alabama Community College has discontinued on-campus instruction as well as non-essential on-campus services, and transitioned to remote delivery of services until April 6, 2020, to protect the health, safety and well-being of our students, employees, and the communities we serve. College faculty and staff will remain committed and accessible to our students and support you throughout this transition. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us for assistance!


Through the MyCACC portal, students may view their schedule, access personal and financial aid information, make payments, request transcripts, and more.

A phone line has been established during this time for additional information or instructions on how to contact a department for assistance. Students may call (256) 794-3984 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday- Friday, and 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Fridays.

Moodle and Student Email

IT staff are available to provide support to students having trouble accessing Moodle or student email.

Please submit requests to or by use the IT Helpdesk ticket system on the website. Please contact your instructor with class-specific questions.


AT&T and Charter/Spectrum are among the providers who are currently offering free Wi-Fi for students and others.


The Library is an Alabama Virtual Library partner, and access to online materials will remain available to students through that online platform.

Digital Access to Textbooks

Red Shelf is offering free digital access to textbooks. You can find more information about this service at Red Shelf’s website.

Disability Services Office

With the transition of traditional classes to online/remote classes beginning March 23 – April 3, if you have a documented disability and have not requested reasonable accommodations prior to this transition, please feel free to reach out to the appropriate ADA Coordinator for your campus or site for assistance and guidance.

CACC Email Issues

If you are unable to access your CACC email, please submit a ticket to the helpdesk and include your student ID number and your personal email address so we can correspond with you through your personal email as we attempt to resolve the issue. Thanks! IT

IMPORTANT: If you are experiencing symptoms, call your primary care physician, urgent care facility, or emergency room in advance of your visit. Know the facts and symptoms of COVID-19, and what to do if you get sick.


Everyone is encouraged to follow CDC guidelines to Stop the Spread of Germs:

  1. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  2. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  4. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  5. Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
  6. Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. (Video)

The College is following CDC Recommendations for Institutions of Higher Education and engaging in enhanced disinfecting practices consistent with CDC recommendations during the duration of this emergency.


COVID-19 WIFI Assistance for Students

The following parking lots at CACC locations have been designed as areas for CACC students to drive in and park and receive WiFi access.

  • Pratts Mill Center-parking area directly in front of the College
  • Talladega Center -front parking lot in front of the College
  • Childersburg Campus-front parking lot in front of the Administration Building
  • Alexander City Campus-faculty staff parking lot by the Administration Building

**These designated WiFi areas will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily. **

May 2020 Commencement Announcement

In light of the COVID-19 Pandemic and existing State and Federal restrictions, Central Alabama Community College will not be holding the May commencement exercise.

We will hold a graduation ceremony on December 17, 2020.

We continue to process graduation applications, so if you were planning to graduate this spring, please submit your application!

Students completing all graduation requirements will graduate in the spring and will receive your diploma via mail.

We are deeply saddened and disappointed to be unable to have our May graduation ceremony, but we are very proud of our graduating students, and we support you!

Please be advised:

  • The date for issuing final grades has been moved to May 14th;
  • The final exam schedule and last day to withdraw remains the same;
  • Faculty members will work to determine how best to support your completion of all course requirements, which is particularly important for programs and courses that require clinical or lab hours and skill demonstration.
  • Contact your advisors regarding any questions or concerns about instructional issues.

Summer Term

Summer plans are underway and remain fluid due to the unfolding pandemic situation. The College will begin the summer registration process very soon!
