Step One: Complete the Free Online Application.
Step Two: Check your personal email for your official Acceptance Letter from CACC.
Step Three: Send your official final transcript to CACC. First-time freshmen need to submit a final high school transcript showing your high school graduation date. Transfer students need to submit complete transcripts from any and all institutions attended prior to CACC.
Step Four: Attend CACC Connect, meet with an Academic Advisor and Register.

You’re Accepted! Now what?

Attend CACC Connect. CACC Connect is your opportunity to learn more about Financial Aid, Student Services; but most importantly meet with an advisor and register for classes.

Placement Test: First-time freshmen are encouraged to submit their official ACT or SAT scores; or take the Accuplacer Placement test for placement in math and English.

Pay Tuition: You can pay your tuition and fees by logging into your OneACCS student portal before classes begin.

Parking Decal and Student ID. Go to campus police on any one of our four campuses to get your parking decal and student ID. Please remember to bring your vehicle tag number and class schedule.

All prospective students must complete an application for admissions. Click here for guidelines for submitting appropriate identification documents with your application.

Documents required to complete your admission file should be official. Please note if the needed document listed above is a High School Transcript, the transcript must include the graduation date. Official transcripts may be mailed or emailed electronically (via eScrip, Credentials, National Clearinghouse) to escripts@cacc.edu . We cannot accept scanned PDF copies.

Apply for financial aid at www.fafsa.gov. The CACC code is 001007. Submit all financial aid requirements by the priority deadline. Contact the Financial Aid Office at financial_aid@cacc.edu with questions or concerns.

(if applicable) First time degree seeking students may be required to take the placement test unless the following requirements are met in English and Mathematics: • ACT sub-score of 18 or higher in respective subject OR • High School GPA of 2.75 or higher and at least a B grade in English IV for English placement or Algebra II for college level math placement within the last five years For Accuplacer placement test schedule click on https://cacc.edu/calendar

First time freshmen must attend the CACC Connect, pre-college orientation. To register for a session, click on www.cacc.edu/connect.

After seeing an advisor or attending CACC Connect, you may register online on the dates/times specified in the College Catalog. Visit OneACCS for additional information.

Tuition and fees must be paid by the published date on the College website. Payments may be made in the Cashier’s Office on the Alexander City Campus or Childersburg Campus or online on your MyCACC.

Student IDs and parking decals are required and may be obtained in the Library in Alexander City or Childersburg or at the Student Services Office in Pratt’s Mill Center or Talladega Center. You must bring your class schedule, ID (driver’s license or high school ID), and vehicle tag registration.

You must attend the first day of each of your classes, or you will be deleted from the class roster as a “no-show.” For online classes, you must login to Blacbkboard on the day the term begins and complete the attendance verification assignment.


The Office of Enrollment Services must receive appropriate identification to complete the admission process. Applicants can email a copy of their identification to: enrollment_services@cacc.edu.

Examples of primary forms of identification:

  • Unexpired Alabama Driver’s License or instruction permit
  • Unexpired Alabama identification card
  • Unexpired U.S. Passport
  • Unexpired U.S. Permanent Resident Card
  • Resident Alien Card - Pre-1997
  • Unexpired Driver’s License or instruction permit from another state or possession that verifies lawful presence, dated 2000 and beyond
  • U.S. Alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-151) prior to 1978
  • I -797 Form with expiration date
  • Voter identification card from a state that verifies lawful presence
