Welding Training
Program Overview
The Welding Training program offers students comprehensive instruction in various welding techniques and prepares them for careers in the welding industry. The program covers essential welding methods, including MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-cored welding, along with an emphasis on safety practices, blueprint reading, and materials science. Students gain hands-on experience in welding fabrication, cutting, grinding, and joining different metals, with training on both structural and pipe welding. The curriculum also includes welding inspection and quality control, ensuring students can produce high-quality welds that meet industry standards. Graduates are prepared to pursue careers as welders, fabricators, or welding technicians in sectors such as construction, manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, and shipbuilding. This program equips students with the skills and expertise necessary to succeed in the highly skilled and in-demand field of welding.

Why get your NCP Welding Training at CACC?
The Welding program at Central Alabama Community College provides students with the knowledge and skills in the heating and melting of metals. Students experience rigorous hands on training with cutting, forming, and the permanent jointing of metal products used in construction of bridges, buildings, and ships some of which are done in conjunction with computers and robots. Students often work on assembly lines, steel mills, railroad shops and highway departments.
