Community Health Worker
Program Overview
This program prepares students to serve as frontline public health workers who act as liaisons between health and social services and the communities they serve. Training includes communication skills, health education, cultural competency, outreach strategies, and knowledge of public health systems. Students learn to provide informal counseling, advocate for individuals and community health needs, and assist with access to care and services. Graduates are equipped for employment in a variety of settings, including clinics, non-profits, public health agencies, and community-based organizations.
