Student Support Services–STEM (SSS STEM) is a federally funded TRIO program designed to improve retention, graduation, financial literacy, and overall academic success rates for students majoring in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and health-related fields).
SSS STEM supports qualified students through academic and engagement activities throughout their enrollment at CACC.

Who Qualifies?
To be eligible for SSS STEM, you must:
Be pursuing a degree or certificate at CACC (or planning to transfer to a 4-year institution in a STEM major)
AND
Meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Be a low-income individual (qualify for financial aid or meet financial need guidelines)
- Be a first-generation college student (neither parent earned a four-year degree)
- Be an individual with a documented disability on file with the CACC ADA Office
You must also:
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen meeting federal financial aid residency requirements
- Be enrolled at CACC (or accepted for the upcoming term)
- Demonstrate a need for academic support
