Dual Enrollment

Central Alabama Community College provides dual enrollment opportunities for eligible high school students to enroll in college classes while in still in high school. Students successfully completing dual enrollment classes will receive both high school and college credit.

Dual enrollment is a great way to get a head start on training for the workforce and transitioning into a successful college experience! If you are interested, discuss your plans with your high school counselor and a CACC dual enrollment specialist to assist you in finding success as a dual enrollment student!

Enrollment Deadlines

All enrollment steps must be completed by the following deadlines each semester. This includes the admissions application and all supporting documents.
Fall Semester – May 1
Spring Semester – November 1
Summer Semester – March 1

English Placement

Act English - 18 or higher
Accuplacer Writing - 5 or higher
Course Placement - ENG 101

Math Placement

Act Math - 18 or higher
Accuplacer Math - 253 or higher
Course Placement - MTH 100 or higher

 

Dual Enrollment Steps


New Students

 

Submit the online admissions application 

 

 You will need to create a new user account to complete the application. If you have previously been a student at CACC, do NOT use your CACC credentials.

 

Course schedule 

 

As you are reviewing the course offerings, please write down the course name, number, and CRN. This information will be needed for Step 4 and is required.

Have your high school transcript sent to dual-enrollment@cacc.edu.

Qualifying test scores must be submitted if requesting an English or math course. Students may submit ACT scores or schedule to take the Accuplacer exam at CACC to determine eligibility. To schedule the Accuplacer exam, please email dual-enrollment@cacc.edu.
