What is CACC F.A.M.E?

The Central Alabama Community College F.A.M.E. (Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education) Industrial Automation Technician Program (IAT) is a two-year technical associate degree designed to prepare students for the rapidly evolving manufacturing industry. This innovative program combines academic instruction with hands-on experience to ensure graduates are both technically skilled and workplace-ready.

Students in the program gain real-world experience through paid apprenticeships with industry partners while learning advanced manufacturing technologies, business principles, and operational best practices used by world-class manufacturers.
