Machine Shop
Program Overview
The Machine Shop program provides students with the technical skills required to operate, maintain, and repair machines used in manufacturing and production settings. Students gain hands-on experience with precision tools, computer numerical control (CNC) machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining equipment. The curriculum covers key topics such as blueprint reading, material properties, machining processes, and safety protocols. Graduates are equipped to work as machinists, CNC operators, tool and die makers, or quality control technicians in industries like aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, and metalworking. This program prepares students for high-demand roles in a variety of production environments, focusing on both skill development and industry standards.

Certification
While pursuing the Machine Shop AOT degree and upon successful completion of specific courses, the stackable Machine Shop Certificate, Basic Machine Operation Short-Term Certificate, Basic Machinist Short-Term Certificate, CNC Specialist Short-Term Certificate, Manual Lathe Operator Short-Term Certificate, and Manual Milling Machine Short-Term Certificate will be awarded to students.
