Central Alabama Community College has recorded a 45 percent increase in enrollment over the past four years, driven by sustained attention to student recruitment and outreach across the region.

Work completed this year added momentum to ongoing efforts by expanding engagement with high schools and communities. CACC increased its presence in schools, strengthened relationships with counselors and families, and focused on clear communication about academic programs, workforce training, and student support services. These efforts helped prospective students better understand their options and how CACC fits into their plans.

Recruitment has remained closely tied to accessibility. College teams worked to simplify next steps for students while continuing conversations beyond initial interest, ensuring students had the information and support needed to enroll with confidence.

As enrollment has grown, the College has also continued expanding programs, services, and learning pathways across its campuses. These offerings support students from enrollment through completion and provide clear routes toward transfer, employment, or continued training.

President Jeff Lynn said consistency has been central to maintaining growth over time.

“When you stay focused on recruitment year after year, the results build,” Lynn said. “This year’s work builds on what was already in place and helps keep that progress moving.”

The combined impact of recruitment efforts over the last four years has strengthened classrooms and campus life while reinforcing CACC’s role as a primary access point for education and workforce training in the region. With that momentum in place, recruitment remains a priority as the College looks ahead.
