CACC Baseball Powers Past WSCC to Claim Fifth Win in a Row

Trojans Extend Win Streak with Doubleheader Sweep of Wallace-Selma

SELMA, AL. — CACC Baseball pushed its winning streak to five games on Saturday with a dominant doubleheader sweep of Wallace Community College-Selma, posting 19-1 and 22-6 victories.

In game one, Tanner Bartlett delivered a strong outing on the mound, allowing just one run on three hits while striking out three to earn the win. The Trojans’ offense exploded behind ACCC Player of the Week Olin Ward, who went 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBI. Shortstop Brady Thomas added four RBI on a 2-for-3 performance, while Cameron Donahue contributed by going 2-for-3 and scoring four runs.

CACC kept the momentum rolling in game two with another offensive surge. AJ Sanchez led the charge with a perfect 4-for-4 performance at the plate, scoring four runs. Ward continued his hot streak, tallying three hits, two runs, and three RBI. Levi Pinder added four RBI on 2-for-4 hitting to help pace the Trojans. Ryan Claverie picked up the win on the mound.

CACC will look to continue its winning ways when it returns to action at home against Southern Union on April 21st with first pitch scheduled for 2pm.

CACC will complete its regular season conference slate visiting Reid State Wednesday and then Hosting Reid State on Friday April, 24th.
