CACC Chemistry Instructor Receives 2026 Auburn Distinguished Alumni Award

CACC Chemistry Instructor Dr. Jeremy M. Carr has been named a recipient of the 2026 Distinguished Alumni Award from Auburn University's College of Education, one of the university's most prestigious honors for graduates who demonstrate exceptional leadership, service, and professional impact.

Dr. Carr has dedicated over a decade to expanding opportunities for CACC students, mentoring first-generation college students into medical, pharmacy, and veterinary programs; establishing Alabama's first community college–Auburn agriculture articulation agreement; and leading CACC's participation in NASA's Student Spaceflight Experiments Program.

Auburn University's College of Education formally presented the award at its annual Awards Celebration on April 10, 2026.
