CACC Christmas Concert Brings Community Together at Prattville Campus

The Prattville campus welcomed a packed audience on December 2 as CACC's Choir and Band presented a Christmas concert filled with familiar carols, seasonal favorites, and strong student performances. The hour-long program invited families, students, alumni, and community members to come together and enjoy an evening of live music that reflected the growing strength of the college's performing arts programs.

Both the choir and band have continued to expand in recent semesters, adding new students and building a steady rhythm of rehearsals and performance opportunities. The concert gave many of these students a chance to share their work with a large audience, and the community's response showed strong support for the arts at CACC.

Bucky Alleman, Director of Choir and Band, said the event was a proud moment for the students and a welcome gathering for the Prattville area. "Our students put their hearts into this performance," Alleman said. "It was encouraging to see so many people come out to hear them. Their effort, and the support from the community, made the night something special."

President Jeff Lynn said the concert was another example of the energy building across CACC's campuses. He noted that the growth in performing arts programs reflects the college's ongoing efforts to provide students with opportunities beyond the classroom. "When you see students performing with this level of joy and confidence, it tells you they feel supported," Lynn said. "CACC is committed to building programs that help students discover their strengths and share them with the community."

The concert featured a range of musical selections and highlighted the teamwork that continues to shape both programs. The evening also reinforced CACC's commitment to offering experiences that connect students with the communities the College serves.
