CACC Softball Sweeps Coastal Alabama North in Thursday Doubleheader

ALEXANDER CITY, AL — The Central Alabama Community College Trojans dominated the diamond on Thursday, April 9, securing a doubleheader sweep over Coastal Alabama North with victories of 9-3 and 6-5.

Game 1: Trojans 9, Coastal North 3
The Trojans' offense exploded early in the opener. Morgan Spear led the charge, going a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a home run and 4 RBIs. Olivia Brackner provided additional power, finishing 3-for-4 with a home run and 3 RBIs, while McKinley Allen and AC Thomas each contributed two hits. In the circle, Madyson Snedigar earned the win, pitching a complete 7-inning game, allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out five.

Game 2: Trojans 6, Coastal North 5
The nightcap proved to be a tighter contest, but Central Alabama held on to complete the sweep. Kayden Tarvin earned the victory with a gritty 7-inning performance, striking out six and allowing five hits. Morgan Spear remained "red hot," finishing 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs. She was supported by Alea Rye, who went 2-for-3, and Olivia Brackner, who added two more hits to her productive afternoon.
