Alexander City, Ala. – Central Alabama Community College (CACC) invites the community to a free AI Community Caravan on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The event will take place in the Multimedia Room of the Betty Carol Graham Building on the Alexander City Campus.
Designed for beginners, the AI Community Caravan offers an introduction to artificial intelligence. Attendees will experience live AI demonstrations, participate in a question-and-answer session, and hear from expert panelists who will share practical insights and real-world applications of AI tools.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own personal computers. Power outlets will be available on-site so guests can follow along with the demonstrations and explore the technology hands-on.
“I’m excited to teach this AI Community Caravan,” stated CACC Instructor Slade Young. “Bring your laptop and leave feeling more confident about using AI.”
Admission is completely free, and no prior experience with AI is required. Whether you are a student, educator, business professional, or simply curious about the technology shaping the future, this event provides a welcoming environment to learn and ask questions.
“At Central Alabama Community College, we know AI skills will be needed for the future,” added CACC President Jeff Lynn. “This event is a perfect example of how we open our doors to beginners and lifelong learners in our local community.”
Space is limited. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early. For more information, contact 256-215-4278 or jsyoung@cacc.edu.
