Central Alabama Community College Breaks Ground on Center of Excellence for Innovation and Technology in Prattville
PRATTVILLE, AL— June 25, 2025—Central Alabama Community College (CACC) hosted a groundbreaking ceremony earlier today at its Prattville campus to mark the start of construction on the new Center of Excellence for Innovation and Technology.
College leaders, local officials, industry partners, and community members attended the event, which signals a major step forward in expanding access to workforce training and hands-on education in high-demand fields.
CACC President Jeff Lynn spoke during the ceremony, emphasizing the impact this new facility will have on students and the broader community.
“This center will give our students the tools and training they need to step confidently into the workforce,” Lynn said. “It also supports local economic growth by connecting education directly to industry needs.”
The Center of Excellence for Innovation and Technology is designed to serve students and regional employers by providing modern labs, collaborative workspaces, and programs tailored to evolving job markets. Once complete, it will enhance the college’s ability to prepare graduates for immediate employment and long-term career success.
