The Central Alabama Community College softball team continued its dominant run on Saturday, sweeping a conference doubleheader against Wallace-Dothan with wins of 13-3 and 4-3.
In game one, the Lady Trojans’ offense exploded for 13 runs behind a standout performance from McKinley Allen, who went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with three RBIs and two runs scored. Olivia Brackner also delivered a big day offensively, finishing 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Emma Gaither earned the win in the circle for CACC, while Madison Snedigar came on in relief to close out the victory.
Game two proved to be a much tighter contest, but the Lady Trojans held on for a 4-3 win behind a complete-game effort from Kayden Tarver. Tarver allowed just three runs on five hits while going the distance in the circle. Offensively, shortstop AC Thomas led the way, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored to help pace the Lady Trojans.
With the sweep, CACC has now won 10 consecutive games and moves into a tie for first place in the conference standings with an 11-1 record.
The Lady Trojans will look to keep their momentum going on March 19 when they travel to Bishop State for their next matchup
