Dual Enrollment

Central Alabama Community College provides postsecondary instructional opportunities to eligible high school students through the State Board of Education Policy 801.03, Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit for High School Students. This policy allows eligible high school students to enroll in college classes concurrently with high school classes, and to receive both high school and college credit where appropriate.

High school students should contact their high school counselor or the Admission’s Office at CACC for enrollment forms. These forms must be completed by the high school counselor and signed by all appropriate persons and then returned to the CACC Admission’s Office along with a current high school transcript and proper photo identification. Dual enrollment students will be contacted along with other freshmen at a later date regarding orientation and registration after all forms are received.

Dual Enrollment Steps

New Students

If a student chooses to take a math or English course and does not have the qualifying ACT scores (18 in English and 20 in Math), the student must take the Accuplacer Placement Assessment. Contact for more information on placement testing and test dates.

Once your admission application and required forms are received, your enrollment will be complete. An email will be sent to your personal email address provided in the online application that will contain your student email address and ID number. Further instructions will be included to guide you through setting up your student OneACCS and email accounts. CACC will discontinue communication sent to your personal email address after this email is received. All communication sent from Central Alabama Community College will go to your CACC email address. Be sure to check this account regularly.
