Gene Haas Foundation Scholarship

The Gene Haas Foundation’s primary goal is to build skills in the machining industry by providing scholarships for CNC technology students and NIMS credentials. To be considered, applicants must be seeking a certificate/degree in Machine Shop or Welding Machining. In addition, a previously attended CACC student must have a CACC 2.0 GPA.

Nemak USA Scholarship

DEADLINE MAY 1, 2021

Nemak USA is a leading provider of innovative lightweighting solutions for the global automotive industry, specializing in the development and manufacturing of aluminum components for powertrain and body structure applications. To be considered, applicants must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), have been a dual enrolled CACC student and a high school graduate with a graduating GPA of a 2.0 on a 4.0 scale from B.B. Comer High School, Childersburg High School, Fayetteville High School, Sylacauga High School, or Winterboro High School in an Electronics, Machine Shop, Industrial Maintenance (Automotive), or Welding (Machining) program of study.

Summer 2021 Scholarship

DEADLINE MAY 15, 2021

The Sabal Trails Scholars Scholarship provides up to 6 hours of tuition and fees fees for the Summer 2021 semester. To be considered, an applicant must be seeking a degree in Nursing, Electronics, Automotive Manufacturing, Machine Shop, or Welding to promote industrial trades and emergency response.

Institutional Scholarships

Academic Excellence Scholarships

Students are required to have a minimum. 3.00 GPA and an ACT score. Recipients will be required to enroll in an academic degree-seeking program of study and maintain full-time status with a cumulative 3.0 GPA. This scholarship will cover in-state tuition and fees up to $3,600 per academic year, not to exceed two years, or completion of program of study, whichever occurs first. This scholarship does not cover remedial coursework.

Ambassador Scholarships

Students are required to have a minimum 2.5 GPA and an ACT score. Recipients will be required to maintain full-time status. This scholarship will cover in-state tuition and fees up to $4,800 per academic year, not to exceed two years, or completion of program of study, whichever occurs first. This scholarship does not cover remedial coursework.

Athletic Scholarships

Athletic scholarships are awarded on the basis of performance in athletic tryouts and the student’s record of athletic achievement. Scholarships are awarded in men’s baseball, golf, women’s softball, women’s tennis, and athletic managers. Interested students should contact the appropriate coach in each sport for scholarship consideration.

Career Technical Honors Scholarships

Students are required to have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Applicants must declare a career/technical program. Selected recipients must maintain full-time status and a cumulative 2.5 GPA. This scholarship will cover in-state tuition and fees up to $4,500 per academic year, not to exceed two years, or completion of program of study, whichever occurs first. This scholarship does not cover remedial coursework.

Central Alabama Community College offers competitive scholarships to qualified students. Scholarship applications are available on the website. Application must be on Central Alabama Scholarship Application forms and be accompanied by all required documents as listed on the application.

Properly completed applications should be submitted to the appropriate address listed on the scholarship application by the announced deadline. The deadline for applying for institutional scholarships at the College is February 1 of each year and awards are typically announced by May 1.
