Marine Tech

Alabama has some of the most exciting opportunities in the marine industry. With an abundance of lakes and rivers and the Gulf Coast, Alabama is rich with opportunities in high-wage, in-demand marine technician jobs. In just three semesters we will prepare you to apply your technical knowledge in repairing outboard and inboard engines and testing, maintaining, and repairing steering devices and electrical systems.

We Offer

• certificates in Marine Technician Fundamentals, Marine Systems, and Marine Electrical Systems as you proceed through the program
• knowledge and experience in American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) standards associated with technician certification
• knowledge and experience in National On-Water Standards (NOWS) for recreational boating
• OSHA-I0 certification
• up-to-date technologies of drive systems (inboard, outboard, and jet propulsion), diagnostics, maintenance, and repair
• training marine electrical systems, marine rigging diagnostics, and the latest industry standards in marine composites
