Central Alabama Community College Announces Brandy Mitchell as New Dean of Academics

ALEXANDER CITY, AL – June 12, 2023 – Central Alabama Community College (CACC) is proud to announce the appointment of Brandy Mitchell as the new Dean of Academic Programs. This change is effective immediately.

Since joining CACC in 2002, Mitchell has shown a steadfast dedication to our community. Starting her career as an English Instructor, she quickly rose through the ranks, serving in various roles, including Academic Discipline Chair, QEP Director, and Division Chair for Distance Education. Brandy has been integral in our college’s progress, significantly contributing to the success of the Pratt’s Mill Center.

“Brandy has demonstrated remarkable leadership and commitment to CACC. Her unwavering dedication and passion for education have played a crucial role in the growth and success of our institution,” said President Jeff Lynn. “I am confident that as the Dean of Academic Programs, Brandy will continue to drive our mission forward and bring innovative and engaging academic programs to our students.”

In her new role, Mitchell will continue to lead the Prattville campus as the campus administrator, balancing her duties with the responsibilities of the Dean of Academic Programs.
