Central Alabama Community College Welcomes Daniel Allen as New Golf Coach
Alexander City, AL – January 3, 2024 – Central Alabama Community College (CACC) is pleased to announce the selection of Daniel Allen as the new head coach of its golf program. With a rich history of success and a legacy synonymous with excellence in golf, CACC is excited to begin this new chapter under his leadership.
Allen brings to CACC an impressive 11-year tenure in college coaching, marked by 15 team victories, including seven at the NCAA Division I level. His accolades include receiving the 2021 Mark Laesch Award for significant team improvement and being named the 2018 Sun Conference Coach of the Year.
President Jeff Lynn expressed his enthusiasm for the new hire: “We are excited to welcome Daniel to the Trojan family. His impressive track record and commitment to greatness align perfectly with the legacy of our golf program. We are confident that he will continue to elevate our team’s prestige and success.”
Athletic Director Steve Lewis echoed this sentiment: “Daniel’s selection as our new golf coach marks an exciting era for CACC athletics. His extensive experience and proven leadership in coaching and fundraising are invaluable assets that will undoubtedly benefit our program. We look forward to seeing our team succeed under his guidance.”
Allen shared his vision for the program: “I am honored to join Central Alabama Community College, an institution with a distinguished golf reputation. My goal is to build upon this foundation, fostering a culture of player development, academic success, and community engagement. I am excited to lead our student-athletes to new heights, both on and off the course.”
Allen’s educational background includes a Master of Science in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from California University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Eckerd College. His professional journey encompasses various roles, including Territory Manager at Vertical Raise and head coaching positions at Saginaw Valley State University and the University of South Carolina Beaufort.
CACC eagerly anticipates the upcoming golf season and the continued success of its golf program under Daniel Allen’s leadership.
